Men’s Holiday Dressing Guide
The holiday season has just begun, and many of us have a full schedule until the next month. From office holiday parties to the traditional gatherings with close friends and family, you will need to dress appropriate and stylish as you meet everyone. With many of these events scheduled for the same day, you will have to balance style and comfort at the same time, and this is much easier than what you might think. Below are a few styling tips:
Wear a Jacket: Many holiday parties don’t actually require a suit; but of course, this doesn’t mean that you have to show up in sweats. This holiday season consider wearing a sports jacket or blazer, wear it with a pair of jeans and button down shirt for a casual yet professional look at your company’s Christmas party and then to the evening’s get-together with your family or friends.
Choose Dark Jeans or Trousers: Fall/winter is all about dark hues and shades. So it’s better to leave your khaki’s at home and wear a pair of dark jeans or trousers instead that can take a piece of dropped cake or spilled glass of drink without you having to change outfit.
Shiny Shoes: Selecting footwear for holiday events and parties is actually very easy; the fancier the event, the shinier your shoes should be. So this means that for casual get-togethers, you can go for a pair of leather loafers. If more elegance, then choose a pair of Oxfords, monk straps or any dressy shoes and make sure you polish them before leaving the house.
Carry a Handkerchief: Carrying a simple white cotton handkerchief in your back pocket is a habit which is totally inexpensive, easy to pick-up, and allows you to come to the rescue in an embarrassing moment.
